The Lincoln Group has partnered with a client in the health and wellness industry who is in search of a Sr. Accountant on a direct-hire basis. The ideal candidate with have a strong background in accounting, knowledge of GAAP, and public accounting experience, and is very detail-oriented. Position Reports to: Assistant Controller
Software: NetSuite
Location: South Denver, CO
Work Schedule: Remote
Compensation: $70K - $120K+ DOE
Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, making sure they follow GAAP.
• Managing external audits.
• Work with different teams to help with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide needed documentation.
• Set up and maintain effective internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements.
• Regularly review transactions to identify and resolve any issues quickly.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting rules and make sure the company complies with new standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A CPA license is a bonus.
• Public accounting experience is a bonus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles to complex transactions.
• Experience with NetSuite is preferred, and experience with Ramp, Bill.com, and Shopify is a bonus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of internal controls and risk management.
• Strong communication and people skills in a variety of departments.
• Good at solving problems and analyzing situations.
