Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting to join their accounting department. This hybrid role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports. You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, managing general ledger operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Analyze financial data and provide insights into variances and trends. Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis. Implement and improve accounting systems and controls. Train and mentor junior accounting staff. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA or CPA qualification is highly preferred. Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP/IFRS). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Experience with audits and internal controls is essential.
