We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in Forest Park, Georgia. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the commercial construction industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the credit card programs and SAP Concur expense management, providing financial support for various projects and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Location: Forest Park, Georgia 302+7
Hybrid Schedule: 8AM-5PM, M-F (flexible schedule – can start before 8/end after 5); 1 day remote/hybrid schedule after +0 days.
Contract To Permanent
Contract: $38/hr. to $43/hr. (based on experience)
Permanent salary: 80-+0K (based on experience)
Responsibilities
• Set up/maintain Concur users and profiles, oversee the use of Concur expense management software to process employee expense reports, and verify receipts.
• Develop and conduct training sessions and documents related to Concur Expense Management
• Manage corporate credit card programs, including issuing cards, setting spending limits, and reconciling transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in credit card administration and Concur expense management.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions related to project activities, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and client invoicing.
• Conduct and review monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and bank accounts.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to gather financial data, provide insights, and support project planning and execution.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in financial operations and implement solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant for a minimum of 3 years
• Proficient in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
• Demonstrable knowledge of general ledger functions and financial statement preparation
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting (intermediate level minimum)
• Experience with Concur for travel and expense management
• Skilled in expense reconciliation, expense reporting, and managing expense reports
• Proficiency in handling accounts payable (AP) procedures and material invoices
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts
• Ethical conduct with confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and think outside the box
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
