Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with specific experience in the construction industry to join our team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and accounting operations related to our construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the financial success of our growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for construction projects.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Coordinate and manage project cost accounting, including job costing and variance analysis.
Prepare and review budget forecasts and cash flow projections for construction projects.
Monitor compliance with accounting policies, principles, and regulatory requirements specific to the construction industry.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Conduct financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in the construction industry.
Solid understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and WIP schedules.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare relevant reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
