Our client, a growing business services firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team.

Responsibilities
• Supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate income statement.
• Managing the month-end close process, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP.
• Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close and reporting timelines.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Job Details
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a senior accountant role is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Strong skills in conducting detailed reconciliations of all accounts.
• Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Experience in the legal industry is a plus, but not required.
