We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with expertise in using Great Plains software, bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end close processes, and audit schedule preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Great Plains Software Management: Utilize Great Plains software to manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Audit Schedule Preparation: Prepare audit schedules and support documentation, working closely with auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management, providing valuable insights into financial performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance, operations, and sales, to support overall business objectives and resolve any financial issues.
