The ideal candidate will have experience with PowerPlan and FERC/GAAP - not required!
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of education, experience, and skills, including
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A Master's degree or CPA certification will be an added advantage
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and critically
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
