Immediate need for a Senior Accountant to join a Project-Based energy company in Tucker, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Controller by overseeing the revenue recognition process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and various corporate accounting matters.
Essential Functions
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and related schedules for submission to Corporate.
• Review job performance for the month, proposing revenue accruals as necessary during the month-end close process for operating units.
• Provide variance analysis and narratives for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a quarterly basis.
• Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts monthly and prepare various journal entries for month-end close.
• Collaborate with external auditors to prepare for, conduct, and complete audits, addressing issues and accounting interpretation matters related to GAAP.
• Make recommendations for alternative procedures and improvements to financial reporting processes.
• Ensure internal control compliance in areas of responsibility, including developing and documenting related processes and controls.
• Prepare and submit workers comp reports.
• Assist in compiling the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in uploading annual budget and reforecasts into the ERP system.
Technical Skills
• Considerable knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems.
• Working knowledge of office automation and computerized financial applications.
• Considerable knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
• Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports.
• Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures.
Compensation
• Up to $+5,000 base salary plus a 10% bonus.
• 15 PTO days.
Work Environment
• Hybrid remote work environment with 3 days per week in the office.
