Role & Responsibilities Job Title: Senior Accountant Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records: Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. • Prepare financial statements: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely information to management and external stakeholders. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables while maintaining good relationships with vendors and customers. • Perform bank reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and resolve any issues in a timely manner. • Monitor and analyze financial data: Conduct regular reviews and analysis of financial data, identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to management for cost control and process optimization. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts, track performance against targets, and provide insightful analysis and explanations for variances. • Ensure compliance with regulations: Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant laws, and ensure compliance in financial reporting and documentation. • Support audits: Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required schedules, documents, and reports, and addressing audit queries in a timely and accurate manner. • Maintain financial security: Establish and enforce financial controls, safeguarding company assets and ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures. • Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus. ● Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. ● Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS). ● Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel). ● Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. ● Excellent organizational and time management abilities. ● Effective communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. ● Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
