Position Overview:
Our team is looking for a Senior Accountant with high-level expertise to join our expanding Accounting Department. This person will have a critical role in managing various aspects of our accounting and ensuring the reliability and quality of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Supervise and manage accounts payable, general ledger, and tax filing preparation
• Calculate and prepare monthly accruals and prepaid entries and reconciliations
• Track fixed asset activity, additions, disposals; calculate depreciation, and perform reconciliations
• Participate in external audits and provide support
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Requirements and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven working experience in an accounting or finance role in an organization with sales of $100M+
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office; experience with Great Plains Dynamics is a plus
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidation processes, and multi-currency accounting
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles including consolidations and currency translations
