We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our dynamic team within the Medical industry. This role is critical to our financial department and requires a seasoned professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial procedures, including but not limited to, general ledger duties, financial reporting, budgeting, and GL journal entries. If you are a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in accounting, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include
• Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
• Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
• Managing month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
• Organizing financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
• Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Preparing financial statements and analysis for monthly and annual reports.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree. A Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
