Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their global business on a temporary basis, with the high possibility of going permanent for the right candidate. Their office is located in Sydney Olympic Park, 3 days in office & 2 at home.
Salary - $110-125K + super, depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Finance team to prepare comprehensive monthly closing accounts.
Oversee the month-end closing process.
Create journal entries based on business requirements.
Generate cash out reports for cash forecasting.
Review AR and AP transactions and Intercompany reconciliations prepared by junior accountants.
Review and approve bank reconciliations completed by junior accountants.
Provide analytical insights on Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet before month-end close.
Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts post month-end close.
Prepare actual vs. budget expense reports by department.
Compile BOR Report numbers for operations review.
Produce financial reports.
Complete monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.
Prepare monthly group reports and ensure timely submission in the internal reporting system as required by the Corporate team.
Taxation:
Prepare monthly GST reports and collaborate with the Finance Director for submission to the Australian Tax Office.
Draft monthly Corporate tax calculations.
Prepare annual Fringe Benefit Tax reports.
Treasury Management:
Update hedge transactions in SAP monthly.
Prepare monthly cashflow reports.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with quarterly and annual audits, tax returns, and local reporting as per statutory requirements.
Manage financials and reporting for small projects, including contract status reviews and other project reports as needed.
Support any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
Requirements:
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Fully qualified ACCA or CPA (Australia).
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of IFRS 15/16 and their reporting implications.
Familiarity with ANZ financial regulations.
Self-directed, motivated, and capable of working independently.
Strong and collaborative communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with accounting ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
A proactive team player with strong self-motivation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Immediate availability or short notice period is preferred.
