Position Title: Associate, Accounting (Direct Taxation & Litigation Specialist)
Location: Mohali

What you’ll do:
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile Tax liability/ payable.
• Produce error-free Tax reports and highlight any associated risk.
• Analyze financial information and summarize tax applicability/liability monthly.
• Keeping eye on Notices issues by various tax authorities by checking the tax portals/Tax email ids.
• Preparing/Drafting response to the Tax notices/ Assessment to the authorities along with the supporting documents.
• Maintaining, preparing and filing for all Tax litigation and assessments to verify and demonstrate the status in a tracker at any given point of time.
• Allocating, posting, reconciling Tax related transactions and resolving discrepancies for direct and indirect taxations.
• Period close reconciliation entries in Income Tax/ GST portal and Books of account (NetSuite).
• Month/Quarter/Year close reporting as per Organization’s standard operating process.
• Assist in completing external Income Tax & GST audit by providing information to the Auditors.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• TDS, Advance tax, GST liability, Reconciliations, ITC matching with books of accounts and filing of various tax returns
Skills & Qualifications:
• Thorough knowledge of Direct Taxation and basic accounting procedures with working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience looking for 6+ years
• At least experience of 5+ years with CA degree.
• Familiarity with various applicable Tax Laws.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office
• US GAAP experience will be an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills must.
• Working knowledge of Accounting Software ERPs (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) etc.
