Job description
Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Finance & Taxation Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Account Manager to manage day-to-day accounting operations, taxation compliance (TDS & GST), statutory filings, and financial reporting including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet preparation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities1️ Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate books of accounts (AP, AR, General Ledger)
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
2️ GST Compliance
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns)
• Reconcile GSTR-2A/2B with purchase register
• Ensure proper input tax credit (ITC) claims
• Handle GST notices and departmental queries
3️ TDS Compliance
• Deduct and deposit TDS as per Income Tax Act
• File quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, etc.)
• Issue Form 16 & 16A
• Reconcile TDS with Form 26AS
4️ Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual Profit & Loss statements
• Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet
• Assist in year-end closing activities
• Support statutory and internal audits
• Prepare MIS reports for management
5️ Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
• ROC filings (if applicable)
• Coordination with CA for income tax filing
• Maintain compliance documentation
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory
• CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred)
• 5+ years of relevant accounting and taxation experience
