Role Description
Areness Law is looking to engage/ retain full time advocates with atleast 4 years experience in Civil, Commercial, White Collar Crimes and allied disciplines. Role is meant for advocates who are adept at drafting, research and court appearance. Candidates with experience in chamber practice with general litigation experience or law firms with dedicated experience in a specific domain can apply.
Role Responsibilities
• Drafting pleadings, opinions, reports, written submissions, counters, appeals, petitions, applications, etc.
• Devise legal strategies based on extensive research
• Appear and argue in matters before District Courts, High Courts and Supreme Court besides other forums and tribunals. You may also be required to appear before other judicial/ quasi- judicial forums/ tribunals as well as administrative authorities.
• Brief Partners and Senior Advocates
• Handle team of interns, associates and paralegal
• Assist the cross functional teams in growth strategies
• Counsel clients and render legal advice on the subject matters
• Draft and prepare content for articles, blogs, research articles and research papers
Qualifications and Experience
• Graduate/ Postgraduate/ Doctorate Degree in Law from any recognised institution in India
• Experience of atleast 5 years post eligible qualification
• Professional proficiency in English, with in-depth knowledge of the rules of the English language, standards of style, punctuation, and grammar.
• Knowledge of research tools such as SCC, Manupatra, AIR, etc.
• Excellent legal research, writing and organizational skills
• Ability to identify statutes and regulations applicable to the given legal issue
• Excellent oration skills
