The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Associate (6+ years PAE) or Special Counsel (8+ years PAE) to join our Dispute Resolution practice in Canberra working with Melanie McKean, Rob Andersen, and Thomas Gaffney. The successful candidate will work in a cohesive team on a broad range of government-focused litigation and disputes work, including class actions, complex civil claims, regulatory litigation, complex commercial disputes (including claims, negotiations, mediations and arbitrations on large-scale construction, infrastructure, IT and materiel projects), merits and judicial review work, investigations, royal commissions and parliamentary inquiries, and advice for clients in those areas.

The Applicant
To be successful in this role, you will:
have 6+ years post-admission experience (experience in private practice, AGS or a Crown Solicitor's Office will be highly regarded);
be committed to progressing your career in disputes and litigation;
be team oriented with a strong work ethic;
be client focussed and with strong client connections;
have the ability to work autonomously;
be committed to developing our team through strong mentoring skills;
have strong commercial awareness;
be interested in the challenges facing our clients;
be able to interact confidently with clients and build effective working relationships;
hold, or be eligible to obtain, a security clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
