Senior Back-End Developer & Engineering Team Lead

Location: Remote with weekly meet ups in Bracknell, Berkshire

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to lead our engineering team. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on a brand-new technology, mentor a growing team, and create a scalable, secure platform that delivers real-world value.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Design and implement robust server-side architecture for our SaaS platform.
• Ensure security best practices in AWS environments, with a strong focus on compliance and scalability.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build with security, scalability, and customer focus in mind.
• Guide the team in creating efficient data architecture, infrastructure, and finance platform integrations.
What We’re Looking For:
• 5+ years of experience in server-side architecture, with proven expertise in SaaS development.
• Strong understanding of securing AWS environments (AWS Certified Security certification preferred).
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Passion for building impactful technology that improves lives.
• Knowledge of architecture, data design, infrastructure, and finance platforms.
The Technical Challenge
You'll tackle complex problems in the back end:
- Design high-performance database architectures (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Orchestrate cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Craft lightning-fast APIs using Python and Node.js
- Implement cutting-edge AI/ML solutions
