Hexxcell is seeking to fill a full-time position for a talented Senior Python Backend to join our small but talented team in our newly established office in Bangalore, India. You will be working in cutting-edge digitalisation projects with Blue Chip companies to solve crucial problems involving the analysis of energy and heat transfer systems, supporting them in the Industry 4.0 revolution to a greener and digital future. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with colleagues and clients to develop, apply and deploy advanced mathematical models of industrial processes that drive significant energy efficiency and environmental benefits.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the back-end development of Hexxcell software
Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
Ensure that software release deadlines are met
Understand and translate functional requirements into technical requirements
Implement technical requirements into code
Support testing and deployment of new products and features
Participate in code reviews
Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in building robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions.
5+ years of back-end development experience with FastAPI or Flask.
Experience with testing in Python.
Database and data handling:
Caching strategies
Advanced database design and partitioning
Query optimization and indexing
GraphQL or gRPC experience
Testing:
Familiarity with mocking
Automated test pipelines
Code coverage tools and strategies
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Intrinsic desire to continually improve, learn & grow.
Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
Mastery of asynchronous patterns and event-driven design
CI/CD pipelines
