Gi3 (Tax Incentives) is seeking a technically-minded and intellectually curious individual to join the team in a role that combines:
Assisting with Patent Box claims throughout the claim preparation process, and
Supporting clients with the interaction of Patent Box and other available tax incentives, along with their broader IP landscape. with the assessment and documentation of projects eligible for R&D tax incentives.
This position sits in an exciting growth area with a combination of corporate tax, specialist Patent Box knowledge and experience and a broader commercial awareness.

Patent Box
Assist a wide range of clients in preparing and supporting Patent Box claims, including:
Determining if the qualification requirements are met and facilitating the relevant client discussions to support a claim;
Support clients in mapping existing patents to qualifying products and associated income streams for Patent Box claims;
Full preparation of Patent Box claim calculations including incorporation of the Nexus regime principles.
Working collaboratively with colleagues in corporate tax to support the filing of Patent Box claims.
Comprehensive project management of the end-to-end claim process.
Contributing to discussions on the optimisation of Patent Box claims for clients.
Building strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor.
Working with peers across tax, finance and legal.

Essential
Experience working with the UK Patent Box regime.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and legal concepts clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Desirable
Experience working with other incentive regimes (UK or international).
Exposure to intellectual property rights, particularly patents, copyright, and marketing IP.
