Senior Accountant will be a key member of the accounting team helping to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting in this PE backed IT integration company. Looking for a professional with strong accounting skills seeking continued professional challenges.
What part will you play?
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department in executing a timely and accurate month-end close process and related reconciliation, reporting and analysis functions.
Responsibilities include preparing journal entries and supporting schedules, reconciling assigned GL accounts, and performing P&L review over various expense accounts. The Senior Accountant will assist in implementing controls and procedures to help mitigate areas of risk. Additionally, The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with compiling work papers and documents for external audits as needed.
What will you be doing?
The job responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include the following:
• Responsible for month-end, quarter end, and year end close procedures (account reconciliations and roll forward schedules).
• Responsible for leases under the new ASC 842 accounting standard, including proper classification of rent expenses/payments, deferred rent schedules, and working within CoStar to perform lease accounting.
• Responsible for the capital leased vehicles, placing in service or disposing, Enterprise billing, and monthly related entries.
• Provide support for the preparation of audited annual financial statements and PBCs.
• Assist with internal management financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Contributor to ERP upgrades and integrations where appropriate.
• Develop, implement and maintain key policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements, systems integrations, etc. for greater accuracy, financial control, and efficiency.
• Support other groups with ad hoc analysis as required.
What do we require from you?
• 5+ years of experience as a Staff + Sr GL Accountant at a high growth company.
• Superior analytical and modeling skills including advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
• Strong experience with ERPs, Microsoft D-365 preferred
• Experience working with international subsidiarie s preferred.
• An aptitude for learning and managing ERP data structures and reporting capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• A high level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail in a fast paced & rapidly changing environment.
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting required
• CPA strongly preferred
