In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Assists in the development and ongoing maintenance of a standard costing system to ensure accurate inventory valuations and cost accumulation and estimate product costs to support quoting activities
• Responsible for thorough inventory reconciliations
• Contributes to month end closing and preparation of monthly financial and operational reporting as well as budgeting and forecasting other cost of sales elements.
• Analyze variances and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions on a frequent basis to ensure plant is delivering to expected forecast
• Provides proactive consultation to department leaders to drive business decisions related to inventory, costing and scrap.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related fields with 2+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 0+ years experience
• Understanding of financial accounting
• Understanding of ERP systems
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Cost accounting experience with mid or large sized company preferred
• CPA preferred
