Job Details
Responsibilities
• Conduct regular variance analyses to identify differences between projected and actual manufacturing costs.
• Develop and maintain cost-efficient financial models to support the decision-making process.
• Perform inventory analysis and report on findings to management, suggesting changes and improvements where necessary.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to current cost accounting systems and procedures, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare and present budget reports to the management team and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to understand and report on cost drivers.
• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and controls to enhance the financial reporting process.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting
• Proficient in variance analysis, financial modeling, and inventory analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
• Proficient in using advanced features of Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
