Job Description
The main goal of Senior Data Quality Analyst is to prevent defects. Quality Control specialists, in their turn, analyze the test results and find mistakes. They are responsible for identifying and eliminating defects in a product (or, in other words, these engineers make sure that developers get the results they expect).
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other technical discipline
• 5+ years of prior work experience in data quality assurance or as a data quality analyst
Job Description
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Analysts and DE team to understand business requirements, design specifications, and technical implementations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes, data pipelines, and transformation workflows.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of data platforms to ensure accuracy, integrity, and scalability of data processes.
• Identify, document and track defects, working closely with the engineering team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Automate data validation and performance testing to enhance efficiency and reliability of data systems.
• Continuously monitor data quality, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve test coverage and validation strategies.
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies in data testing and quality assurance.
• Mentor and guide junior data quality analysts, providing technical expertise and support on data quality best practices.
Required Skills
• Strong foundational knowledge on ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
• Solid understanding of data quality dimensions, methodologies, and governance policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with hands-on experience in relational databases and familiarity with diverse database technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python and its data manipulation libraries like Numpy and Pandas along with visualization libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn and Plotly.
• Knowledge on a range of big data tools and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive and Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Expertise in writing and executing test cases, analyzing complex datasets, and automating validation using Python and Stored Procedures
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git and GitLab for efficient collaboration and code management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively working with cross-functional teams to drive data quality initiatives.
