Job Description
Essential Functions:
Estimating - Primary Function (70%)
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop competitive bids.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and ensure scope coverage.
Perform quantity takeoffs and utilize estimating software for pricing.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
Maintain historical cost data and contribute to estimating process improvements.
Project Management - Secondary Function (30%)
Take ownership of a project upon award and see through to completion.
Establish project objectives, milestones, budgets, and project schedules.
Procure supplies and material to complete a project buy-out.
Oversee and provide guidance to Foremen/Superintendent to plan, organize and direct activities related to schedule, labor, equipment, materials and disposal on their jobs.
Monitor production and project costs to ensure each job is completed on schedule.
Review and sign off on daily manpower and progress reports for jobs.
Continually update a 3-week look ahead for all projects.
Interact with the customer on a regular basis and be the lead on negotiation for any scope discrepancy or issues on the job site.
Oversee all change order requests and submit in conjunction with estimating and finance.
Responsible to ensure project close out package is completed, and job can be billed in full.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural demolition estimating.
Strong knowledge of demolition methods, materials, and market pricing.
Experience with technical & proposal writing.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations.
Proficiency in estimating software e.g., Bluebeam, Excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods with occasional standing and walking.

Compensation
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $100,000/year
Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
