The Role
We are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, collaboration, and innovation. You will design, test, and improve high-performance power conversion systems that form the core of Tritium’s fast-charging technology.
You will work closely with mechanical, firmware, and test teams across the full product lifecycle, from concept and simulation to prototype, validation, and production.
What You Will Do
Design and validate high-efficiency power conversion circuits and systems
Model and simulate converters and components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and troubleshooting
Conduct hands-on testing, validation, and data analysis of prototypes
Investigate and resolve design, EMC, and reliability issues
Contribute to continuous improvement in design tools, automation, and processes
Participate in design reviews and share learnings across the engineering team
What You Bring
Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Power Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Two or more years in power electronics design, testing, or validation
Strong understanding of converters, inverters, magnetics, and control fundamentals
Experience with simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, or PLECS
Familiarity with SiC, GaN, or other emerging power device technologies
Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Curiosity, ownership, and a practical mindset
