Salary: $104,864 – 120,594 p.a. plus 11.5% Superannuation

The Role
In this role you will develop and manage Waverley Council’s community engagement strategies and projects and deliver authentic engagement practices across the council. You will produce high quality, effective communications and engagement plans and materials to ensure Waverley is positioned as a high profile, innovative and effective organisation in touch with and responsive to community needs.
Be the primary organisational expert undertaking and guiding authentic community engagement processes and associated activities.
Provide complex reports, policy advice, Council briefings and data analysis on community consultations.
Facilitate community engagement activities to inform Council decision making through the provision of accurate, timely and clear information and resources.
Guide and support the delivery of effective and comprehensive deliberation and consultation techniques from project inception to post-project review.
Undertake social research and evaluation across a multitude of community segments and issues.
Supervise and coordinate a small team
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a related field
High level competency in the application of IAP2 principles and experience in the facilitation of community engagement design, delivery and evaluation
Experience managing or supervising staff
Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills in response to complex issues in a fast paces and political environment
Highly developed communication skills with a proven capacity to influence diverse stakeholders and facilitate positive engagement
