Senior Engineer – Bridge

We’re looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to work with us in our San Diego office and alongside some of the industry’s most respected experts. In this role, you will tackle complex technical challenges, and contribute to projects that define infrastructure excellence across the region.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will:
• Lead the structural design of complex transportation infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, and walls.
• Oversee and review engineering reports, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Work directly with state agencies, municipalities, and design/build contractors to develop tailored solutions.
• Play a key role in business development efforts, engaging with clients and presenting innovative solutions.

What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of structural design experience in bridges and transportation infrastructure.
• Development of calculations using Excel and Mathcad. Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, VBridge, LEAP Bridge, LPile, and more.
• Experience with regional, state and federal transportation agency standards, codes and procedures strongly preferred.
• Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $100,00 - $152,400 annually for this position and local market.
