$110,000-$140,000

Key Responsibilities
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new product concepts in partnership with product and design leads, driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Design, implement, and maintain software solutions using best practices in modern software development.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Angular, TypeScript, C#, and .NET to deliver high-impact features.
Work closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to rapidly translate early-stage product ideas into working prototypes and scalable solutions.
Deliver solutions within our established tech stack and architecture, while actively identifying opportunities to optimize for speed, scalability, and AI integration.
Own the quality of what you ship, including thoughtful testing (unit, integration, performance), even when moving fast.
Engage in AI-informed code reviews, sharing patterns, prompt strategies, and improvements to both code quality and development workflows.
Pitch in when issues arise, from prototype quirks to production incidents, helping the team troubleshoot, learn, and iterate quickly.
Key Qualifications
Education & Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in C# / .NET (preferably .NET 7), Angular with TypeScript, SQL Server, and Web API integrations.
AI & Innovation Experience: Practical experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) in development, with a critical approach to AI-generated outputs; experience in innovation teams or AI-driven projects is a plus.
Cloud & Tools: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
Security & Standards: Familiarity with OWASP and ISO27001 standards.
Bonus Skills: Experience with Excel integrations, mathematical programming, Salesforce, developer experience (DX) improvements, or AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, or HuggingFace.
Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, adaptability, attention to detail, effective teamwork, and excellent communication abilities.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be based in Christchurch, as this is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office collaboration
