About the Role
This role is responsible for EPA's on-ground regulatory response in the region.
Includes education, compliance monitoring, inspections, and managing non-compliance via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
Use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor workflow in delivering frontline regulatory operations, aligned to EPA's strategic priorities.
To prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver regulatory actions to prevent harm to communities and the environment.
Actively participate in investigations and the delivery of preventative projects and compliance programs.
Provide support and guidance to other team members in delivering organisational priorities.
Contribute to the analysis, negotiation, and resolution of compliance issues.
Work collaboratively with co-regulators, duty holders, communities, and other partners to drive improved environmental and public health outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience and a record of achievement in a relevant regulatory role.
Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures.
Successful completion of Authorised Officer and Field Response Officer training.
Ability to be present at times and locations as required.
Current Victorian driver's licence.
Relevant tertiary degree or qualification desirable.
