Job Description
As a Senior Events Manager at Marriott International, you will be responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinating with Sales, property departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of property events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage event logistics and operations, ensuring seamless execution and accuracy.
• Greet customers during the event phase and hand-off to the Event Operations team for execution details.
• Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews with clients prior to processing the final bill.
• Manage group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized assigned groups.
• Identify operational challenges and determine how to best work with property staff and customers to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.
• Act as liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event).
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of experience in event management or related professional area.
• Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management or related professional area required.
