We’re currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant ready to bring their technical expertise and commercial acumen to a fast-paced, values-led organisation.
Why this role?
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who’s ready to step beyond the advisory space and take ownership in a growing commercial environment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening financial control processes, and supporting business-wide decision-making.
You’ll be involved in everything from month-end close and financial control through to systems improvements and automation projects.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a technically strong, commercially minded accountant who is ready to step into a high-impact, in-house finance role.
Please note: To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have recent experience at Manager level within a leading global accounting firm (Big 4). This is an essential requirement due to the technical demands and complexity of the role.
You’ll also bring:
CA or CPA qualification
Strong technical grounding in Australian Accounting Standards and tax requirements
Experience managing or supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive mindset and ability to manage competing priorities
(Nice to have) Experience in the property or retirement living sectors
What you’ll be doing
Leading key aspects of the month-end close, including journal preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines
Partnering with auditors and investors during reporting cycles
Supporting finance system enhancements and automation initiatives
Providing financial insight and reporting support to stakeholders across the business
