Senior Accountant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified accountant with a solid understanding of financial accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monthly management accounts preparation, collaborating with teams across various functions, and providing insights into financial variances.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monthly Management Accounts Preparation: Preparation and review of the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.
• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Finance Managers in the UK and Operations teams to ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• VAT Returns: Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.
• Property-Focused Financial Analysis: Support the financial management of a portfolio of properties, including a new fund with four properties.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Intermediate Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) is essential.
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our cost reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global cost controlling principles and be able to apply analytical skills to identify areas for improvement.
You will work closely with our finance business partnering team to provide insights and recommendations on cost drivers and financial variance.
Key responsibilities include tracking and determining financial status by analyzing actual results against previous periods and forecast, actively participating in monthly and quarterly management reporting to senior management, and proactively assessing and implementing continuous improvements in controlling and reporting procedures.
• Review costs related to 2M / Gemini to ensure quality and accuracy of postings
• Conduct cost driver and allocation reviews
• Ensure all adequate controls are in place
• Monitor KPI on a regular basis
• Handle ad-hoc queries from operations, network team, and VSA partner
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong logical and analytical capacity
• Clear understanding of P&L
• Experience in FP & A domain
• BI skills an advantage
• Solution mindset
• Team spirit and excellent communication skills
• Ability to engage, guide, influence, and challenge multiple stakeholders across departments and levels of the organization
