Senior Frontend Developer (Typescript/Node) 7 months (potential to extend) National - Hybrid 2 days per week - office locations in most UK Cities £750 each (+ total expenses of £1,750 each) - INSIDE IR35 IMPORTANT: SC Clearance is required for this contract position What would you be working on? You would be building a new product to help practitioners apply for, find and manage spaces in accommodation. There are many facets to this product, and over half of the core functionality has been released, but they are having a last push to bring the full MVP to private beta in January. Some of the last elements that are scheduled to be built that these roles will be focused on is functionality for staff within the approved premises to carry out ‘pre-arrival work’, which needs to be done before new residents arrive at the premises. This will be an entirely new functionality. How do they work? As a relatively new team, they are committed to maintaining an open and supportive environment where every member feels valued. Their current team consists of two backend engineers, one frontend engineer, a designer, a content designer alongside the delivery and product manager. They operate in two-week sprints and encourage pairing to enhance collaboration and skill development. Their backend is written in Kotlin, so experience with Kotlin (or with Java and a willingness to learn Kotlin) is preferred. The frontend is developed in Typescript, so experience with JavaScript and a strongly typed language is preferred. While the opportunity to work across both stacks is available, it is not a necessity. Experience required: JavaScript TypeScript Test-driven development Cypress CSS HTML NodeJS Nunjucks Express.js jQuery Working in an agile team Experience of working with GOV design system Accessibility standards
