Qualifications:
Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field such as HR Management, Employment Relations, Law or Organisational Psychology - or equivalent work experience
White Card
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a HR Advisor - preferably in the construction industry
Knowledge, and experience in the application of HR/IR systems and processes
Project Management experience - ability to plan, implement & manage longer term initiatives

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Provide HR advice including interpretation of relevant legislation and common law contracts in relation to white-collar workforce.
Ensuring compliance and support to personnel and management on counselling/discipline, conflict resolution, probation, return to work, performance evaluations and investigations.
Team Leadership: Direct, manage and support the team of HR Advisor's and HR Administrator's.
Assist and lead the HR Advisory team in case management including investigation, disciplinary and performance management.
Implement HR Information Systems: Facilitate the integration of project-specific information systems to enhance HR operations, providing essential user support and training.
Manage Performance/Behaviour Issues: Offer managerial support in addressing underperformance or misconduct, ensuring adherence to legal standards and project procedures and policies.
Data Review and Reporting: Analyse data and prepare necessary reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
Support the HR Team in establishing and promoting the project's cultural framework.
HR Initiatives Development: Collaborate with managers to create HR strategies that align with the company's values and objectives.
Performance Management Support: Provide support and advice to leaders in executing performance development and review processes and to ensure participation in performance management initiatives.
Talent Acquisition and Training: Conduct recruitment, interviews, and training of new departmental staff.
Workflow Supervision: Manage the day-to-day operations of the department.
Performance Feedback: Deliver timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Ability to liaise with all levels of a typical workforce and comfortable interacting with a range of issues.
Develop relationships with Project leaders and relevant external stakeholders.
