Senior Institutional Investment Operations Specialist

Provides trade settlements support to all Front office desks for Bond, Repos / Reverse Repos tradesEffect all required funding payments, paying particular attention to individual currency cut-off times.Instruct and manage the settlement of Bond, Repos / Reverse Repos trades and money transfers in relevant custodian, ensuring adequate funding is in place, in line with relevant cut-off times.Ensure all trades are matching and settled in a timely manner.Instruct and manage the settlement of any security / cash margin calls in relevant custodian. Paying particular attention to individual cut-off times, ensuring the trade is settled & matched in a timely manner.Ensure all exceptions in the trade flow are investigated and satisfactorily resolved in a timely manner.Display a sound understanding of accounting logic with regards to cash entries and GL feeds.Assist in resolving trade discrepancies caused from trade failures, booking errors or ancillary breaks.Demonstrate subject matter expert knowledge and apply in-depth knowledge to add value to operational procedures and other improvement procedures.Make appropriate decisions in line with critical deadlines, high value trades and sensitive clients.Assist in the resolution of Nostro reconciliation breaks and subsequent case Investigation.Complete all month end tasks in relation to statements, reconciliation, reportingComplete monthly statistic reports and provide to management at the start of each monthEnsure compliance with all operational and regulatory controls and proceduresBuild strong relationships across the business with the relevant teams including regular communication with the Front Office.Ability to self-motivate and self-manage personal development in line with goals and personal development plan take personal responsibility for own performance.Ability to work well within a team, meet targets and interact with a wide range of people including senior management.Required Qualifications, International:Candidates must have a strong academic background and proven experience in similar roles within security settlements.Payments/SWIFT knowledge & experience is requiredTrade Settlement experience in European & US Domestic markets is essentialThe candidate should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, excel and access as well as being systems orientated in general.Ability to escalate appropriately, make informed assessments of issues and suggest corrective actions.The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, a high focus on attention to detail, be deadline orientated and be productive under pressure.Good oral and written communication skillsExperience in using various settlement and accounting systems including SWIFT, Flexcube, Pega and Euclid/Easyway & BONY (FED Settlement) will be considered an advantage.Proficient in the use of MS office including word and excel
