Your Role:
As the Senior International Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our international financial operations and ensuring compliance with global tax regulations. You will bring extensive experience in international tax strategies, strong analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Oversee and manage international accounting functions, including consolidation of international entities’ financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement international tax strategies to optimize the organization’s global tax position while ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
• Coordinate transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage international cash flow and foreign currency transactions to minimize financial risk and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit and tax filing requirements for international entities.
• Provide guidance and support to regional finance teams on international accounting standards, tax implications, and regulatory changes.
• Perform financial analysis of international operations to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Monitor changes in international tax legislation and advise management on potential impacts and opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve financial processes and systems integration across global operations.
What Makes a Great Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification required
• Certification or accreditation in international tax (e.g. CICA In-Depth Tax Course, CTA, or equivalent) preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in international accounting, including strong knowledge of international tax and compliance and transfer pricing
• Proficiency in international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and familiarity with local GAAP in multiple jurisdictions
• Experience in developing and implementing international tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and compliance
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of tax compliance software is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
