As a Senior IT Security Analyst, you will partner with the Cyber and Information Security Manager to ensure operational effectiveness of controls, maintain our Information Security Management System, and meet all security standards and regulatory requirements.
You’ll drive continuous threat and vulnerability monitoring, respond to incidents with hands-on analysis and remediation, and lead the operational delivery of cybersecurity initiatives.
You will provide security input into technical proposals and specifications, working across Technology and the wider business to implement and manage controls. Your guidance will strengthen our security posture while balancing business needs, ensuring teams can operate effectively without compromising on risk.
This will be a permanent, full-time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the subject matter expert for cloud and container system security, reviewing configurations and architecture against standards and frameworks to ensure control effectiveness.
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps operations, security controls, and infrastructure as code (IaC) with experience in CI/CD practices.
Stay up to date with DevSecOps technologies, best practices, industry trends and emerging technologies.
Perform technical security testing, including audits, gap assessments, vulnerability testing, behavioural monitoring and anomaly detection, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Manage and configure cloud-based solutions and security tools to support organisational requirements and the overall technology strategy.
Proactively contain threats and conduct threat hunting using indicators of compromise to detect and prevent breaches across networks and systems.
ABOUT YOU
3–5 years in a similar role with hands-on operational experience across Windows Server, Linux, desktops, XDR security, CASB, SIEM and vulnerability management tools.
Advanced skills with Microsoft cloud solutions (O365, Azure), Kubernetes and Docker, along with proficiency in one or more scripting languages to drive automation.
Strong knowledge of the DevOps security lifecycle and controls, with demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business language and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies, with the adaptability to manage shifting priorities in fast-paced environments.
