The role
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our Advisory Risk & Regulation Practice as part of the Public Sector Litigation team. The role will have the sucessful candidate working closely with partners Cain Sibley and Caroline Bush.

The role involves assisting with dispute resolution and litigation (including merits review and judicial review of government decisions), as well as the provision of advice on decision making and management of legal risks, statutory interpretation, regulatory matters, the conduct of compliance and enforcement activities, and in relation to information privacy and access to information. The team also works on a range of commercial litigation matters, royal commissions, inquiries, and inquests.

Key responsibilities
This varied role will see you:

Work on a broad range of dispute resolution and litigation matters, as well as administrative law matters
Represent clients, including government departments and agencies, as well as private sector bodies, in a variety of courts and tribunals.
Develop your client relationship skills by building close working relationships with the best in-house lawyers at our clients
Mentor junior lawyers
Work within an experienced and cohesive team of public sector lawyers
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:

At least 3 years PQE; with experience in public sector and administrative law matters
Experience in commercial litigation will be looked at favourably.
A strong work ethic
The capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; required for building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment
Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail
Outstanding client service skills
