About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to take a key leadership role within our legal team in Melbourne.

This newly created position will be instrumental in shaping our fast-paced legal strategy, supporting business projects, and objectives as we continue to expand internationally.

This role is ideal for a legal professional with expertise in privacy, technology, intellectual property, data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging trends like artificial intelligence.

Navigate complex regulatory environments
Manage and negotiate commercial agreements, including government contracts, licensing, and procurement
Exposure to areas such as contract and commercial law, corporate governance, health, safety & environment (HSE), employment law, and dispute resolution
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decisions, manage stakeholders globally, and mentor members of the immediate legal team.

A current Australian Practising Certificate is required, along with at least 6 years of experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal counsel.

Experience in the technology, transport, construction, or engineering sectors is highly preferred.
