Join CLIENT as an external consultant responsible for streamlining Back Office processes, supporting core business projects in the dedicated development team, setting up new products within ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) environment Endur and to be a pro-active partner for the other team members in solving technical challenges.

The team's name is Stardust within Trading Express ART. The ART is composed of + scrum teams. Stardust team supports core Back Office processes and automations for settlement, confirmation, and regulatory reporting. We currently have eight team members: 2 Java Developers who are also working on the same project, 2 Oracle Developers, 2 Subject Matter Experts from Back Office, the Scrum Master, and Product Owner. Stardust team is a multinational team located 100% in Poland. Our daily communication is in English, and we regularly collaborate with collogues from Denmark and Malaysia. The team shares workload together and we encourage members to discuss as a team when one person needs help. Stardust works in SAFe framework with biweekly sprint cycles. We use Azure DevOps as the backlog.
We practice hybrid working model with min. 2 days per week from Warsaw office at Chmielna 73.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
• Continue improvements to settlement, confirmation, and regulatory processes within Back Office area
• Support of crucial business projects in relation to Endur and cooperation with other systems integrated with Endur
• Recommend and execute improvements, features or suggestions based on the current development plan
• Drive the cost saving initiatives withing current infrastructure scope
• Verify and deploy the newly developed features
• Work with APEX application and improvements in that area that manages regulatory reporting
• Create technical documentation for reference
• Help with setting up new products in the system end-to-end
• Share the knowledge with other team members
Requirements
• Must have:
• Advanced knowledge and experience programming in Java and SQL
• Worked previously with APEX and XML
• Ability and willingness to guide, mentor and teach other engineers
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Nice to have:
• Understanding of manual memory management (Endur objects are created using JNI at C libraries level, so it would be beneficial if you know how functions share/assign memory, be able to release the memory when needed and know how to identify memory leaks)
• Experience in working with Endur
• Worked previously with Oracle
• Are acquainted with Agile (preferably SAFe framework) in a diverse, international team
In addition, you have excellent communication skills and the ability to easily create good relationships with your stakeholders. You can plan your work efficiently, you are proactive, and you can see problems from the end user perspective. You also have an analytical approach to your work and the ability to understand technically complex connections. Finally, you are a team player.
