What’s the role?

You’ll be a strategic compliance partner for Business Lending within the Business & Wealth Division, bringing clarity to complexity and helping us stay one step ahead of regulatory change. This is a full-time role based in Sydney, where you will:

provide high quality and timely advice,
advise the business on regulatory and business change initiatives and projects,
conduct compliance assessments,
deliver compliance training,
oversee rectification and remediation activities; and
help build a compliance framework that’s as agile as the business it supports whilst supporting commercial outcomes. It’s meaningful work, with real influence.
What do I need?

Strategic mindset with practical execution – You can see the big picture, connect the dots across risk, regulation, and business strategy, and translate that into clear, actionable advice.
Deep compliance and regulatory knowledge – You understand the legal and regulatory landscape in financial services and know how to apply it in a way that supports both protection and progress.
Knowledge & Experience – You have knowledge / experience of Business Lending Products, which is highly desirable.
Influence and relationship-building skills – You’re confident engaging with senior stakeholders, regulators, and cross-functional teams, and you know how to challenge constructively while building trust.
Analytical and problem-solving capability – You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, assessing complex issues, and making sound, risk-based decisions under pressure.
Adaptability and resilience – You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and bring energy, curiosity, and a proactive approach to everything you do.
