Job Description
Provide tax services to multinational corporations on inbound investments into Canada, including structuring advice and compliance services.
Lead and manage cross-border tax projects, including advising on EIFEL, FAPI and surplus calculations, foreign reporting, withholding tax, and tax treaty interpretation.
Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and regulations for clients with cross border activities.
Identify and implement tax-efficient strategies for cross-border transactions and structuring.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal and finance teams.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior tax professionals.
Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
CPA, CA, designation.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Canadian tax, with a focus on cross border taxation.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian tax laws, and tax treaties.
Experience managing complex tax projects and working with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
