As we embark on an exciting phase of expansion, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Planning and Development professional with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our high-energy team.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading the planning, design, and execution of complex real estate mixed use, commercial and residential development projects. This position requires a deep understanding of land use planning, zoning regulations, real estate markets and project management, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute strategic plans for real estate development projects, considering market trends, community needs, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and financial analysis to assess the viability of potential projects.
Identify and assess opportunities for optimizing project proposals to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Zoning and Entitlements:

Navigate zoning regulations, land use policies, and entitlement processes to ensure compliance and maximize development potential.
Work closely with government agencies, consulting teams, architects, and legal teams to secure necessary approvals and permits.
Project Management:

Oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects, from initial concept through design, construction, and delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Foster a culture of innovation within the project team, encouraging new ideas and approaches.
Community Engagement:

Foster positive relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and government entities to enhance project acceptance.
Organize and participate in public meetings, hearings, and outreach efforts to gather input and address concerns.
Market Research and Analysis:

Stay informed about real estate market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
Utilize market research to identify potential development sites and inform decision-making processes.
Collaborative Leadership:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, legal, and finance, to drive successful project outcomes.
Inspire and mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for staff at all levels.
Required Knowledge and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in planning and development roles within the real estate industry.
In-depth knowledge of Ontario zoning regulations, land use policies, and entitlement processes.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex real estate development projects.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
