About the role
The main focus of the role is to lead on monitoring the collection, allocation and expenditure of section 106 funding and in kind obligations within the Infrastructure and Viability part of the Planning Service.
Extensive experience of monitoring obligations for a local planning authority is desirable. The postholder will have good knowledge of the UK planning system and the role of obligations within it.
The role is hybrid, attendance at the office is required for fixed days each week. There may be times when it is expected for the post holder to travel outside of the Borough to deliver services on behalf of Barnet.

About you
You should have good knowledge and understanding of UK town planning system and the role of section 106 and CIL in helping to deliver infrastructure alongside development.
Be competent and confident to lead negotiations with stakeholders and communicate clear advice on proposals.
Effectively manage your own workload, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
Be able to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines, performance targets and produce regular consistent output of work.
Have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and ability to prepare clear and concise reports, briefings and correspondence.
And have excellent IT skills including an understanding of the way systems can be developed to best meet user needs.
