Job description:
Simplilearn, a leading provider of a suite of professional certification courses that address unique learning needs of working professionals, is looking for a self-driven and experienced individual for the position in leading the Finance Operations. The Senior Executive -Finance will provide support to the Finance and Business function by delivering high quality payroll activities (including employee reimbursements). He /She will also assist in both internal audit and statutory audit procedures. Additionally, will also be actively involved in contract management. This position will be based in Bangalore, India.
Responsibilities:
• Follow company processes, controls, and policies.
• Prepare & post payroll expense & payment entries as part of the Payroll Calendar.
• Validation of Pay Register with input received from HR Ops from time to time.
• Resolving all pay register related queries with HR OPS before monthly payroll review.
• Initiating the payments related to Salary, Statutory obligations as per Payroll Calendar.
• Reconciliation of Payroll General Ledgers balances with Pay Register & Manual Reclass or
• Adjustments. Having an action plan to clear the variances between 2 data sets. Validation of Employee Reimbursement requests raised in Portal as per Reimbursement
• Calendar & making payments to employees in accordance with Reimbursement Policy.
• Preparing Schedule for Payroll and Employee Reimbursement on monthly basis from Audit readiness.
• Ensure SLAs agreed and published are adhered to.
• Liaison with Business team and peer finance members in resolving issues & Managing Escalations
• Anticipate, proactively communicate, and escalate issues to Manager and the client in a timely fashion
Requirements:
• Graduate Degree in Finance & Commerce.
• Should have prior experience of 3-5 years in Payroll Accounting (including validation).
• Employee Reimbursement Process.
• Should have a good exposure to MS office (especially MS excel).
• Aptitude, passion, & inclination towards data interpretation and self-motivation will be key differentiators.
• Attention to details.
• Innovative and analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player instincts with the ability to see a project to conclusion with little follow-up.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• High level of proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Ability to work in Start-up environment and adjust in fast moving organization will also be required to be successful in this role
