Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Analyst who will actively support our payroll programs, policies, processes, and applications. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of payroll principles to assist managers, team members, and customers effectively.
This position is based on-site in Phoenix, AZ, and follows a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level response support to managers, team members, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Handle inquiries and requests in accordance with established policies, providing basic interpretations of HR policies.
• Assist with payroll processing tasks, including overtime calculations, mandatory contributions, benefit deductions, and payroll taxes.
• Monitor and ensure accurate documentation of employee benefit payments.
• Prepare and analyze reports on payroll expenditures, encompassing tax payments and benefit plan disbursements.
• Establish standards and procedures for managing payroll transactions, including tax setups and amendments.
• Act as a liaison for employees on pay inquiries, resolving issues while demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Review payroll audit reports, identify underlying issues, and lead initiatives to correct errors and prevent future occurrences.
• Input and maintain accurate data related to employee changes, ensuring compliance and precision.
• Maintain records within appropriate HR/Payroll systems, facilitating knowledge-sharing among the team.
• Determine effective methods for resolving issues, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments as needed to enhance customer resolutions and streamline processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Level Specifications:
• Advanced understanding of job functions, practices, and procedures and their impact on the organization; develops process improvements across various tasks.
• Regularly addresses complex problems requiring innovative solutions and independent decision-making. Makes recommendations based on sound judgment.
• Operates with minimal guidance, working toward broader objectives while demonstrating creativity in problem-solving.
• Engages frequently with management, external contacts, and teams; coordinates efforts with other departments for operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
Education and Certification:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
• CPP designation or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now / Workforce Manager is a plus.
