Senior People & Culture Business Partner - SafeWork
Clerk Grade: 9/10
Salary range: $129,464 to $142,665 + superannuation
Employment type: Temporary – till 30 November 2026 – with potential to extend or becoming ongoing
Location: Parramatta or Sydney– flexible hybrid arrangement with the expectation for 2-3 days per week in your nominated office
Division: SafeWork NSW – People & Culture, People & Corporate Services

Join SafeWork NSW as a Senior People & Culture Business Partner and make a difference by partnering with business leaders to shape a high-performing, accountable and inclusive workforce. In this strategic advisory role, you’ll provide expert guidance across a range of workforce, culture and people management matters using a portfolio model. You’ll also play a key role in supporting senior leaders to build capability and lead cultural and organisational change in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Your day-to-day
As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will:
Provide tailored, strategic people and culture advice to senior leaders and people managers.
Coach leaders on complex employee matters and build their leadership capability.
Lead and deliver complex workforce projects that support organisational and cultural priorities.
Use your strong stakeholder engagement skills to develop trusted relationships and influence outcomes across the business.
Collaborate with internal P&C team to design and deliver best-practice workforce solutions.
Support and coach direct reports, guiding their development and performance.
Promote and embed inclusive and innovative workforce practices across your client portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience in delivering end-to-end HR and workforce solutions in a large or complex organisation.
Experience supporting organisational change, including planning and implementing workforce transitions and restructures in line with policy and operational requirements
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve issues.
A track record of successfully leading people-related projects from design to evaluation.
Knowledge of contemporary people, culture and workforce strategies.
Confidence in coaching and supporting managers through sensitive and complex people matters.
A customer-focused approach and the ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.
Experience managing direct reports.
