As Senior People & Culture Manager – Hilton Foods UK & Ireland you will lead, develop, galvanise and inspire change, working collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team. Leading from the heart of our operation you will have proven experience of implementing best practice People & Culture strategies and you will understand the basics of manufacturing. Through your team you will drive exceptional results and improvements. You will also enable the implementation of the Hilton Foods People & Culture Strategy.

This is very much a role in which you can influence, bring new ideas and develop the People agenda in our organisation. You will bring a passion for continually improving the operational performance and people capability of our sites in Huntingdon, UK and Drogheda in the Republic of Ireland.

The role will be largely site based at Huntingdon with regular travel to Drogheda. The role will report into the Managing Director of Hilton Foods UK and Ireland with a functional reporting line into the People & Culture Director UK & Ireland.

To be a strategic partner and change agent, building and delivering the people capability we need to meet the needs of our customers, our people and our business

Key Accountabilities:
• As part of the People & Culture leadership team contribute to the development of the People & Culture Strategy and develop and deliver aligned business unit People Plan.
• Lead the business unit People & Culture team, motivating and developing the team to deliver a best in class services.
• Lead on all aspects of employee relations, both collective and individual, to ensure employees are managed fairly and business requirements are met in a legally compliant way that protects the reputation of the business.
• Create a climate in which our people feel connected and committed to the business and are genuine advocates for Hilton Foods. Champion site engagement, galvanizing the business unit management team to feedback results, listen and build and implement effective action plans.
• Coach and mentor our Hilton Foods UK & Ireland teams on all aspects of people related matters including people leadership skills strengthening leadership through coaching.
• Work collaboratively with business unit management team, Regional P&C management and Group to ensure the appropriate development and management of pay and benefits. Measure all P&C costs and control expenditure against agreed budgets.
• Continually develop and oversee performance management to support a high-performance culture.
• Liaise and collaborate with development of a UK & Ireland People & Culture Shared Services to ensure resourcing, learning & development and HR systems and administration meet local requirements so the needs of our people and business are met. Lead alignment with manufacturing, planning and Shared Services Resourcing Team to manage agencies and ensure they cost effectively deliver the service we need.
• Protect the Hilton Foods UK & Ireland business by ensuring the development and retention of key talent through capability management, succession planning and engagement.
• In collaboration with health and safety demonstrate visible leadership in driving the right safety culture in accordance with the Health and Safety Framework in the business and support the wellbeing of our people through the development and delivery of wellbeing programmes and initiatives and occupational health and return to work.
• Ensure inclusion and diversity is embedded in our business and support and translate Group and Regional initiatives to be effective within Hilton Foods UK and Ireland.
• Utilise our global HR system with support of UK & Ireland People & Culture shared services and reporting and analytics capability of the system to drive improvement in ways of working, our EVP and business performance.
• Champion and ensure compliance as appropriate with people related ESG goals and requirements e.g. modern day slavery
