Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework, design and implement RESTful APIs, and optimise database performance. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Your expertise will enhance the performance, scalability, and quality of our web applications, ensuring they meet both business and user needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with expertise in the Laravel framework
• Must not have a criminal background
• Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in PHP and Laravel development
Job Skill Requirements:
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end applications
• Solid understanding of MySQL and PostgreSQL database management and optimization techniques
• Experience with version control systems such as Git (Bitbucket/GitHub knowledge is essential)
• Strong hands-on experience with Bootstrap, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS coding
• Strong knowledge of Laravel, CodeIgniter, and other PHP frameworks like YII
• Familiarity with e-commerce frameworks such as OpenCart, WordPress, cs-cart, and Magento
• Working knowledge of API development for Mobile Applications
• Experience with cache and search plugins in terms of optimization
• Developing plug-ins/add-ons in PHP for various CMS solutions
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior PHP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications and APIs to meet business needs. This includes and is not limited to:
• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using the Laravel framework
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services
• Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimizing application performance and scalability through efficient database design and query optimization
• Ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards through code reviews and continuous integration
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues reported by users or identified during testing phases
• Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in web development and incorporating them into projects
• Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives

• Maintain security of information at all times
• Other duties as assigned
