Your Team
This role sits within the Payments, Fraud & Scams Crew which is responsible for the strategy, customer experience, product, financial and risk management of Bankwest’s payment mechanisms. The Fraud and Scams team is specifically focused on reducing the impact of fraud and scams on our customers by ensuring we have the strategy and capability to maximise prevention and minimise customer losses.
Do work that matters
The Senior Product Manager - Fraud & Scams will report directly to the Executive Manager, Fraud Delivery. This role is integral to improving and transforming the capability, processes and governance that delivers improved customer experiences in an ever-evolving fraud and scams landscape. Your leadership in this role will bring together strategic direction, analytical insights, and coordination across Bankwest lines of business to deliver improvements to scams prevention, detection, and reporting capability.
On any given week you will
Collaborate with stakeholders across various business lines to bring together an end-to-end and holistic view of fraud and scams in relation to intersecting domains such as financial crime, regulatory compliance, or technology uplift.
Understand the business and your stakeholders so we deliver outcomes that really matter to our customers to support the prevention of scams and fraud as well as our compliance obligations
Present insights, risks, and emerging trends confidently and accessibly to senior stakeholders
Develop and coordinate governance forums and improvement activities across business lines
Represent Bankwest in Group forums and ensure alignment with obligations and commitments
Document and implement governance policies, procedures, metrics and reporting

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate undefined topics, and distil complex matters into clear executive summaries and business recommendations
Experience in operational and technology strategy development and communication
Has the ability to see the bigger picture, understand the end goal and develop a strategic approach
Proven analytical and reporting skills to drive insights and trends
Financial Crime / Compliance experience (Highly desirable).
